I really wish some of you would stop obsessing over notes so much. tumblr isn’t a job. being a fan is not a job. making content for a fandom you’re a part of is not a job. at the end of the day the number of notes you get really doesn’t dictate whether the content you’re making is good or not, it doesn’t dictate how much people care about you, and it certainly doesn’t dictate your worth as a person. all it says is that x number of people saw it and decided to share/like it to their own blogs. making content should be about sharing things that somehow bring something positive to your life. a fake sense of validation that lasts you 5 seconds, from seeing a big number on that left corner, really shouldn’t be your main concern when putting time and energy into making gifs, because it’s basically impossible for you to ever be satisfied with that mentality… not to mention that there’s so many factors that come into play to get a lot of notes. please understand that making gifs and creating content should never be a source of stress for you.
